Yesterday, we had the honour of having our Sustainability Manager, Fulya Karakas-Akgun, represent Polaris Transportation Group at the Trucking Toward Net Zero: Inside the 2026 Fleet Sustainability Playbook<\/em> panel at Truck World. The session was part of the GreenTech Summit and moderated by James Menzies of Today\u2019s Trucking.<\/p>\n

The discussion explored what the sustainability roadmap looks like for 2026 and the trends shaping corporate sustainability strategies across the trucking industry.<\/p>\n

Fulya shared insights into Polaris\u2019 formal sustainability strategy, including our decarbonization roadmap, performance measurement, reporting practices and the importance of building a strong sustainability culture to support long-term progress.<\/p>\n

She also highlighted practical initiatives Polaris is advancing today, including retrofitting equipment, supporting owner-operators in their transition, upgrading telematics to uncover efficiency opportunities and trialing alternative fuels. As zero-emission technologies continue to evolve, Polaris is positioning itself to be ready to integrate these solutions as they become viable.<\/p>\n

One of the newest developments shared was the Polaris Carbon Calculator, a customer-facing tool designed to measure freight emissions based on shipment weight and distance, supporting future emissions reporting requirements.<\/p>\n
