In Canada, more than 200 businesses are part of the network.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The United Nations Global Compact asks participating companies to align their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles covering human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. The initiative also encourages businesses to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 20,000 companies based in over 160 countries and more than 60 Global Compact Networks.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For Polaris, joining the network is a natural extension of the work already underway across the organization.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIn line with our commitment to The Ten Principles, Polaris Transportation Group is proud to join the world\u2019s largest corporate sustainability initiative and hold our operations to the same standard we ask of the world around us &#8211; advancing human rights, fair labour practices, environmental responsibility and anti-corruption, not as separate initiatives but as the foundation of how we do business\u201d says Dave Cox, CEO of Polaris Transportation Group. \u201cJoining the UN Global Compact Network Canada is a public commitment to that accountability and to doing our part in building a more sustainable path for global trade.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Sustainability has become an increasingly important part of how Polaris operates.
