CELEBRATING ONE YEAR OF THE POLARIS COMMUNITY CARE UNIT

Last September, we embarked on an incredible journey with our Community Care Unit (CCU) program, a dedicated effort in the fight against hunger. Over the past year, we’ve supported local food banks, shelters and numerous food programs throughout Toronto, the GTA and beyond—from Collingwood to St. Catharines and even across the border to Tonawanda, USA!

In celebration of our 1^st anniversary, we returned to where it all began in Guelph, Ontario. Polaris CEO, Dave Cox, CCU Program Director, Brenda Brajkovich and Professor Audrey Jamal brought essentials to the Guelph Student Foodbank and the Guelph Food Bank, upholding our commitment to helping those in need. Today, we donated 768 lbs to assist the increasing number of students requiring food assistance and support the Guelph community.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our partners, customers and team members who have contributed to the success of the CCU program. With your support, we’ve had the privilege of connecting with new neighbours, building and strengthening our community networks and making a tangible difference for those facing food insecurity.

So far, the Polaris CCU has completed 29 deliveries to 19 food banks, 3 kids’ food programs, 1 shelter and more charities and programs.

We’re also incredibly proud to have donated and distributed over 21,017lbs of essential food items to people in need.
