ABOUT THIS FULL-TIME POSITION:

The sustainability coordinator will be responsible for working with various departments and providing clarity on how our organization can develop our Corrective Action Plan (CAP) to enhance our sustainability strategy. This person will also act as a liaison with our partners, NGOs and government agencies to help our organization develop a multi-year plan.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

• Work with various departments to develop company-wide transformation and implementation plans
• Organize and facilitate trainings and workshops to foster a culture of sustainability
• Analyze and prepare regular reports on the progress of initiatives
• Acting head of the sustainability committee providing support to help working groups develop and execute their ESG commitments
• ESG materiality assessments, goals, targets and KPIs, implementation roadmaps, incorporation of ESG, corporate and purpose strategies
• Conduct cost benefit analysis for sustainable strategies
• Develop relationships with our partners, NGOs and governing bodies to explore our strategies and identify new areas of opportunity
• Support in ESG-related company communication to a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues and policymakers
• Research latest trends, practices and news related to sustainability

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in ESG reporting advisory
• Ability to work on multiple or complex projects simultaneously

ABOUT THIS FULL-TIME POSITION:

This is a hybrid dedicated run from Mississauga, ON to Chicago, IL with coverage to our New Jersey partner terminal when required. This is a dedicated terminal to the terminal position. The scheduled run will alternate every other week between Mississauga/Chicago and Mississauga/New Jersey (when required).

Dedicated Terminal to Terminal Night Trips

• Each trip is 2 nights
• 10+ trips per month (2 trips one week, 3 trips the next week)
• Paid flat rate per trip
• Paid waiting time at the border

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle by exercising defensive driving
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate electronic log documents
• Ensure compliance with all transportation of dangerous goods regulations
• Maintain compliance with federal laws and state and/or provincial traffic act regulations
• Present yourself as a true industry professional
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage before and after trip
• Regular full attendance is essential

Duties & Responsibilities

Team Management: Supervise and mentor General Accountant and other teams as may be required.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years’ proven experience as a Controller or similar financial management role in the transportation and logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of APSE or IFRS accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (Truckmate / TMW preferred).

• Develop and participate in all driver orientation, delivered in a classroom setting and additional or seasonal training as needed
• Evaluate driver training requirements, materials, assessments and certification tracking needs, and implement programs to support best-in-class driving performance
• Circle Check & Driver Road Skill Testing: Prepare a planned route that tests all the skills and elements of safe driving and professional behaviour. Provide coaching on any areas that need attention
• Initiate in cab evaluation program, schedule and present training programs. Train, coach and assess drivers on industry best practices for driving safety, pre-trip inspections, regulatory requirements, and Hazardous Materials transportation
• Log Auditing: E-Log conflicts, unidentified logs and uncertified logs. Take corrective action with drivers to prevent being in violation of the regulations. Document all training and corrective action
• Investigate Telematic data: Support the implementation, roll out and ongoing review all telematic data for at risk behaviour
• Process escalations to maintain driver regulatory and maintenance files
• On call to assist in responding to accidents and participate (as required) during accident investigations
• Participate in the recruitment process for drivers and help maintain a pool of prospective candidates as the Polaris ambassador in the Driver Talent market
• Cultivate and sustain a positive culture, quality performance, safe environment, and a positive, professional driver experience
• Liaise and collaborate with dispatch and warehouse staff on driver concerns
• Periodically work with Compliance and Human Resource teams to review/audit driver qualifications & motor vehicle records
• Cross training within the Risk Department for coverage

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid AZ License and Passport
• Clean Abstract and CVOR
• HOS knowledge for Canada and USA
• Excellent understanding and background in Transportation processes, procedures, regulations and regulatory requirements of the Ontario Highway Act, U.S Federal Motor Carrier’s Regulations
• 5 years of relevant previous experience within a Driver Trainer role
• Knowledge of TWM (Truckmate) operating system a benefit

• Work with the Director to build the US pricing, rate tables, BIDs and RFQs and assist in the execution of pricing strategy for the US market. Provide Quotes and on the spot quotes.
• Carry out ongoing pricing analysis using internal and external data and play an active role in the annual pricing strategy review process.
• Contribute to automation and improvement of pricing-related processes and embed new processes.
• Support for daily dispute administration, helping with short pays or accounting issues.
• Collaboration with sales & operations to provide insight to engineer solutions to capitalize on new business and retain existing accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience with 2+ years in a pricing analysis role.
• Transportation industry experience is a must-have (Interline/ LTL preferred).
• Excellent knowledge and skills in rates, NMFC (National Motor Freight Traffic classification) & costing.
• Sales experience would be an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and communications skills.
• Advanced / excellent MS office skills, particularly in Excel.
• TCG software experience would be helpful.
• Able to travel 10% of the time as required (to Canada or within the US)

• Monitor security cameras for suspicious or unusual activity
• Develop threat intelligence, recognize common attack patterns and storylines
• Assess indicators of compromise and integrate intelligence into the response lifecycle
• Watch for any suspicious activity and disturbances. Assess danger and direct the appropriate escalation and response
• Triage incidents and events, perform widespread and in-depth log and data analysis
• Coordinate with internal departments and government agencies in case of incident or emergency
• Provide incident reports or video screen to Safety team as required
• Develop, coordinate and may conduct security education programs to assist in educating personnel about security systems, individual security responsibilities and the importance of security in the cross border transportation industry
• Combine experience, knowledge and intuition to formulate key security processes and activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Law Enforcement and/or Security Administration/Safety.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a background as a Police Officer, Sheriff, Fish and Wildlife Officer, Correctional Peace Officer, Conservation Officer, Level 1 Peace Officer, Firefighter or as a member of the Canadian Forces (regular or reserve)
• Minimum of five years of continuous full-time employment (does not need to be in a related field)

You will be responsible for:

• Build a strong relationship with billing and payable teams and ensure the books are closed on time with utmost accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain the provisions/accruals and be on top of the reconciliations.
• Perform the bank reconciliations.
• Run the month closing meetings and perform the revenue and cost analysis. Provide value adding commentary for the reporting deck.
• Prepare the monthly management reports.
• File HST return and provide the input for the tax filing and tax related queries.
• Facilitate external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
• Ensure all the corporate documents, supporting and backups are properly maintained.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Customer Care is about building and maintaining long-term value-added relationships with external and internal customers in a way that supports Polaris values and goals. It begins with understanding customers’ requests and the triggers driving those requests, and offering information and solutions that take care of their needs.

You will be responsible for:

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone or e-mail in a timely matter
• Follow up on all client requests/ inquiries and able providing feedback to the client
• Accurately process clients’ orders
• Responsible for building long-term, valued added relationships with the customers
• Acts as a liaison between warehouse and customers; Prepares identifying information and shipping instructions for the warehouse

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Customer Care is about building and maintaining long-term value-added relationships with external and internal customers in a way that supports Polaris values and goals. • Assist the Manager with obtaining the goals below:
• Answer phone calls within 3 rings – Target 95%
• Answer customer inquiries on the first call – Target 90%
• Keeping a balance between logged in time and logged off time to ensure a “Best in Class” customer care experience.
• Responsible for improving internal processes through recommendations and direct action
• Interacts with customers on a professional / friendly level to handle inquiries, addressing underlying requirements and concerns to avoid issues; resolves customer issues by taking ownership of the situation and acting as the customer’s liaison between departments for resolution.
• Responsible for building long-term, valued added relationships with the customers
• Identify opportunities for overall Polaris improvement and work with Client Care Manager to drive action
• Identify training opportunities and work with the Client Care Manager and Training Manager to elevate knowledge within the Customer Care Dept
• Daily email to Manager reporting comments; ie issues and action plans to address improvements
• Additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

We are looking for forklift operators to join our team, we offer various shifts (see below), competitive wages & benefits.
Mon ~ Fri: 1:00 am to 9:30 am
Mon ~ Fri: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Mon ~ Fri: 4:00 pm to 12:30 pm

• Efficiently and safely load and unload skids onto and from trucks via use of forklift.
• Organize freight on dock according to region.
• Check that freight is consistent with shipment as it is loaded on the truck.
• Ensure that no malicious freight is brought onto dock or loaded/unloaded from a truck in compliance with C-TPAT and PIP
• Report any inconsistencies in freight integrity or freight count to Terminal Manager/Lead Hand (i.e. Overages or shortages).
• Complete routine inspection of forklift and record findings on daily forklift maintenance form.
• Required to lift and move freight 50lbs on dock floor
• Performs general cleaning and tidying duties of work area
• Additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Must have a valid propane forklift license
• Minimum one (2) years of experience using forklift
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist.
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Experience working on a fast-paced cross-dock facility
• Must completed employer reference check

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

We are seeking two City Dispatchers – please indicate in your application which shift you prefer or if you are open to both options.

SHIFT OPTIONS: Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 5:30 pm or 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

• Successfully plan and schedule drivers, truckloads, and routes
• Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers
• Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner
• Communicate delays to customers and troubleshoot issues
• Update customer web portals with up-to-date load information
• Monitor and update shipment statuses on the company's internal applications
• Ensure effective utilization of company's equipment and resources
• Other duties or tasks delegated by management

• A proven track record as Commercial Vehicle Truck Driver coupled with training/instructional skills to develop new recruits as well as existing drivers

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Develop and participate in all driver orientation, delivered in a classroom setting and additional or seasonal training as needed
• Evaluate driver training requirements, materials, assessments and certification tracking needs, and implement programs to support best-in-class driving performance
• Circle Check & Driver Road Skill Testing: Prepare a planned route that tests all the skills and elements of safe driving and professional behaviour. Provide coaching on any areas that need attention
• Initiate in cab evaluation program, schedule and present training programs. Train, coach and assess drivers on industry best practices for driving safety, pre-trip inspections, regulatory requirements, and Hazardous Materials transportation
• Log Auditing: E-Log conflicts, unidentified logs and uncertified logs. Take corrective action with drivers to prevent being in violation of the regulations. Document all training and corrective action
• Investigate Telematic data: Support the implementation, roll out and ongoing review all telematic data for at risk behaviour
• Process escalations to maintain driver regulatory and maintenance files
• On call to assist in responding to accidents and participate (as required) during accident investigations
• Participate in the recruitment process for drivers and help maintain a pool of prospective candidates as the Polaris ambassador in the Driver Talent market
• Cultivate and sustain a positive culture, quality performance, safe environment, and a positive, professional driver experience
• Liaise and collaborate with dispatch and warehouse staff on driver concerns
• Periodically work with Compliance and Human Resource teams to review/audit driver qualifications & motor vehicle records
• Cross training within the Risk Department for coverage

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid AZ License and Passport
• Clean Abstract and CVOR
• HOS knowledge for Canada and USA
• Excellent understanding and background in Transportation processes, procedures, regulations and regulatory requirements of the Ontario Highway Act,
• U.S Federal Motor Carrier’s Regulations
• Five years experience in the trucking industry; truck driving experience preferred
