At Polaris, we are committed to supporting our community and uplifting those in need around us. That’s why we have taken our charitable initiatives to the next level by launching the Polaris Community Care Unit (CCU), aimed to make a positive impact on people facing food insecurity.
This initiative is part of our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goal of achieving Zero Hunger in the future. With a focus on the areas where we live and operate, the Polaris CCU is helping local food banks, soup kitchens and shelters meet increasing demand for food.
Our dedicated team is hitting the road monthly (and twice a month during the holidays) to deliver essential items to their doorsteps. These services involve purchasing and distributing high-nutrient foods for people of all ages, ranging from baby formula and healthy options for children to soft foods for seniors.

Hunger is at an all-time high due to rising food and living costs. Ontario has been seeing up to 24% annual increases in the number of families and individuals (nearly 588,000) relying on food assistance programs. These organizations need support to replenish their inventories and ensure they can feed the high volume of visitors they receive each day.
The Polaris CCU van can be seen traveling across the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario, serving these cities and their surrounding regions:
