ENGAGING WITH FUTURE LEADERS IN SUSTAINABILITY

We were thrilled to participate in a recent Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) workshop with Western University’s Master of Environment & Sustainability program. Fulya Karakas-Akgun, our Sustainability Coordinator, was invited by LCA workshop lead, Doug Hietkamp to share insights about her career journey in sustainability with the program’s talented students. Fulya provided valuable perspectives to inspire the next generation of sustainability professionals.

The session covered the potential challenges ahead and the opportunities that await, along with insights on staying up-to-date with developments in the field and an overview of Polaris’ sustainability efforts as an example. This offered students a chance to see real-world applications and discover potential career paths in the field.

Opportunities like these allow us to inspire and learn from the next generation of environmental leaders. Together, we can build a brighter, more sustainable future. Thank you, Doug Hietkamp and Western University for the opportunity to be a part of this event!
