Polaris Hosts First On-Site Food4Kids Mississauga Packing Event

June 5, 2026

This week, Polaris Transportation Group proudly hosted its first on-site packing event in support of Food4Kids Mississauga, bringing together employees, community partners and volunteers to help address childhood food insecurity in the region.

The event welcomed Nancy, Executive Director and Lucy, Program Coordinator of Food4Kids Mississauga, who spoke to attendees about the organization’s mission and the growing need for weekend meal support. They shared that the food packs assembled during the event will help provide nutritious meals to 320 children this weekend.

Employees from across Polaris came together to pack an impressive 325 weekend food packs. The event was further strengthened by the support of community! Tony Ferrante from Rogers Communications and Julia Kole from Partners in Project Green joined the Polaris team in assembling the packs.

The food packs will be distributed to 15 schools throughout Mississauga, ensuring children have access to food over the weekend when school-based meal programs are unavailable.

As part of Polaris’ ongoing commitment to community support, the company is proud to assist Food4Kids not only through food donations and volunteer efforts but also through transportation services that help ensure these essential food packs reach the children who need them most.

The success of the event reflects the power of collaboration and the positive impact that businesses, community organizations and volunteers can achieve when working together toward a common goal.

Polaris extends its sincere thanks to Food4Kids Mississauga, Rogers Communications, Partners in Project Green and all employee volunteers who contributed their time and energy to make the event a success!
