Polaris Transportation Group Joins the United Nations Global Compact

Polaris Transportation Group is proud to announce that we have joined the Canadian Network of the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary initiative that encourages businesses to operate responsibly and take action toward a more sustainable future. 

By joining the initiative, Polaris becomes part of a global community of thousands of companies working to advance responsible business practices. In Canada, more than 200 businesses are part of the network. 

The United Nations Global Compact asks participating companies to align their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles covering human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. The initiative also encourages businesses to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. 

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 20,000 companies based in over 160 countries and more than 60 Global Compact Networks. 

For Polaris, joining the network is a natural extension of the work already underway across the organization.

Sustainability has become an increasingly important part of how Polaris operates. From environmental initiatives and employee programs to community-focused efforts, the company continues to look for practical ways to make a positive impact across its operations and the communities it serves. 

As a participant in the UN Global Compact, Polaris will continue to build on this work while aligning its efforts with The Ten Principles and the broader Sustainable Development Goals.
