Our First-Ever Community Impact Day Brings Over 5,000 Pounds of Food to Communities Across Ontario and Quebec

On September 23, 2026, we launched our first-ever Community Impact Day, bringing Polaris team members together to put our WE CARE philosophy into action and support food banks and community organizations across Ontario and Quebec.

Our teams travelled to 10 communities: Toronto, Barrie, Orillia, Oshawa, Peterborough, Kitchener, Guelph, Hamilton, Ottawa and Montreal. Together, we shopped and personally delivered over 5,000 pounds of essential food items to 11 food banks and community organizations.

The deliveries supported Food4Kids Waterloo Region, Guelph Student Food Bank, Guelph Food Bank, Hamilton Dream Centre, Salvation Army Orillia, Barrie Food Bank, Durham Outlook for the Needy, Good Neighbour Food Share, Parkdale Community Food Bank, On Rock Food Bank and Ottawa Food Bank. Getting out on the road and spending time in the communities where we live and work made the day especially meaningful for our team.

Seeing our team come together, get out on the road and personally deliver food to organizations in our communities was incredibly meaningful. Community Impact Day builds on the work of our Community Care Unit (CCU), which we launched in 2023 with a simple goal: to help our community and support people experiencing food insecurity.

Since then, our CCU has visited more than 35 food banks and nonprofit organizations, transporting and donating more than 60,000 pounds of food and essential goods throughout Ontario and the United States.

We have also built ongoing NGO partnerships that allow us to provide transportation, donations and volunteer support to nonprofit organizations delivering essential food and supplies to the people and families they serve.
